Abstract:

The talk will start off by giving the introduction of the EDA history. As the complexity of design increases, traditional EDA tools are hard to meet the time-to-market requirement in future large scale designs. Therefore, we will introduce some discussion of “Is the EDA Industry Ready for Cloud Computing” from several studies. Finally, we will present our proposed possible cloud-based solution on large emulation result.

Yi-Hang Chen received the B.S. degree from the Department of Computer Science, National Chiao Tung University, and the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electronics Engineering, National Chiao Tung University. Then he joined the Verification group of Synopsys as an engineer in developing cloud-based data architecture of Verdi.
